McDonald’s Canada has been a leader in supporting gender equality, with women making up nearly half its corporate leadership, almost twice the average for Canadian women in S&P 500 companies. In addition, this initiative leverages the strategic work McDonald’s continue to do around their Canadian sourcing commitment and the evolution of their ‘Not Without Canadian Farmers’ campaign.

To celebrate International Women’s Day this year, McDonald’s Canada is demonstrating its support of women, in agriculture and every other industry by putting a new spin on a classic children’s song to highlight the hard work and contribution of female farmers. Tribal Worldwide Toronto created a video using McDonald’s existing footage of Canadian female farmers on their farms, which is accompanied by a modified version of ‘Old MacDonald’ to reflect the modern reality. For every share the video gets, McDonald’s Canada will donate $1 to support the next generation of young Canadian farmers.
